Pilot: Key and equipment sign-out
A sign-out register for keys, radios and fobs: in pilot
You keep a paper log for the things you hand out: keys, radios, access fobs, visitor PPE. At the end of the week nobody can read who has the plant room key, and the fob that went out on Tuesday has not come back.

Today
Today the kiosk records people, not items
- Nothing in the kiosk records an item against a person. There is nowhere to say that a key, a radio or a fob went out, or that it came back.
- What it does record is the person: who signed in, for whom, when they arrived and when they left. Your paper key log still does the rest.
The pilot
Out to a name, and back in
The pilot will have an item signed out to a named person at the kiosk and signed back in, with both times. We plan for the list of items still out to be visible on the dashboard.
It will be a register, not a key cabinet. Nothing will be physically locked, and a key will be as safe as the hook it hangs on.
What we want to hear
Tell us what you hand out
- What do you issue: keys, radios, fobs, PPE, something else?
- How many items are there?
- Who issues them, and who takes them back?
What it costs

The kiosk platform is £150 a month plus VAT, with setup from £599, and the iPad and stand are included. Our existing modules are £150 a month each. The pilot is priced with the first sites, and agreed before anything is set up.

Tell us what is in your key log
Fifteen minutes on the phone, or an email. Tell us what goes out, how many of them there are and who hands them over, and we will tell you straight whether a register on the kiosk beats the book you have.
