Pilot: Contractor insurance and RAMS expiry
Contractor insurance and RAMS, asked for only when they expire: in pilot
Somebody at your site chases contractors for insurance certificates and RAMS, and finds out that a certificate has lapsed when the contractor is already at the gate. You want each contractor’s documents held once, with their dates, and asked for again only when they are due.

Today
Today the documents are collected per permit
- Inside the Permit to Work module, each permit request collects the contractor’s insurance, RAMS and COSHH assessments before arrival, and a manager at your site checks them before authorising the permit.
- Permit to Work is in early access and has not yet run at a customer site.
- Nothing remembers a contractor between visits. The documents belong to the permit they were uploaded for, and the next permit asks for them again.
- Nothing tracks an expiry date. Whether a certificate is in date is checked by the manager reading it.
The pilot
Held against the company, with the dates
The pilot will keep a contractor’s documents against the company, each with its expiry date. We plan for a contractor to be asked for a document again only when it is due.
