SwipedOn alternative

A SwipedOn alternative, now that SwipedOn is part of Sign In App

If you searched for this, you are ahead of the website. On 26 September 2026 swipedon.com redirected to a page on signinapp.com saying SwipedOn is now part of Sign In App, and swipedon.com/pricing redirected to Sign In App’s pricing page. So the choice is not SwipedOn or somebody else. It is Sign In App’s published tiers, which start cheaper than we are, or something built differently. This page is the difference, row by row.

Try it yourself, no sign-up

Sign in on a demonstration kiosk, then open the fire roll call on your phone. Do not enter real details: everything typed is deleted within the hour.

Facts about SwipedOn and Sign In App read on 26 September 2026, from their own pages, linked below. We have no connection with either and they have had no part in this page.

In the United States? The installed kiosk on this page is sold in the UK. For US sites: the same software on an iPad you already own, from $199 a month.

What happened

SwipedOn and Sign In App are one company

None of this makes their software worse, and consolidation is not a scandal. What it changes is who you are buying from: a roadmap set by a portfolio company that has bought seven businesses, a combined platform their own page says is not live yet, and a product name that its own domain no longer serves.

  • August 2021 to May 2024Sign In Solutions, a PSG Equity portfolio company, makes seven acquisitions. The seventh is SmartSpace Software plc, SwipedOn’s parent, taken private in a recommended cash offer completed in May 2024.
  • 26 September 2026: swipedon.comRedirects to a page on signinapp.com which says “SwipedOn is now part of Sign In App” and that the combined platform is not live yet.
  • 26 September 2026: swipedon.com/pricingRedirects to signinapp.com/pricing. The published prices a SwipedOn buyer is now sent to are Sign In App’s Core, Enhanced and Pro tiers, per site per year, with hardware sold separately.

Side by side

Only the things that are published facts

The right hand column is Sign In App’s pricing page, because that is where swipedon.com/pricing now lands. There is no feature checklist here, and no row where we score ourselves against their software. Those tables are written to be won.

£150 a month is £1,800 a year plus VAT for one site, with setup from £599 in year one. Their Core tier is £415 a year for the licence alone. The gap is the iPad, the stand, the installation, the training and the replacements.

What the price buys

Three things the table does not dwell on

The table is about what is published. This is about what the kiosk does on a manufacturing site, because that is where the difference between a licence and a service shows up.

Fire roll call, on a phone

Everyone signed in on the kiosk is on a live list the marshal opens on their phone at the assembly point. Nobody goes back inside for the book. It is part of the platform, not an add-on.

Permits to work, on the same kiosk

A contractor’s permit raised before the day, the RAMS read on their own phone to the end before they can sign, and their name on the roll call from the moment they arrive at the kiosk. A module at £150 a month plus VAT, in early access.

A badge only after your staff approve it

The visitor signs in and waits. The host is told and enters a PIN on the kiosk to authorise the visit. No approval, no badge. Colour coded, so anyone on the floor can see whether that person needs escorting. A module at £150 a month plus VAT, printer included in a quoted setup.

Optional module

A badge, printed only after your staff approve it

The third of the three above, on screen: a visitor signs in on our own unit, the host enters a PIN, and the badge prints.

Secure Badge and Approval is an add-on at £150 a month plus VAT, label printer included. The platform works without it. The player loads from YouTube only when you press play. What happens when you do.

Stay with them

When Sign In App is the right answer

  • You are a SwipedOn customer and the move has been explained to you. If Sign In App has told you what happens next and the price is fair, a redirect is not a reason to move. Stay where you are.
  • You want the lowest software price and you will handle the rest. Sign In App Core is £415 a site a year, less than a quarter of what we charge. If you will buy the iPad, mount it, configure it and support it internally, that is the better buy.
  • You need something this afternoon. A self serve platform lets you sign up today. We need a conversation and an install date.
  • You have twenty sites, or several countries. At that size you want a vendor with a support rota, a status page and an account team. We are one person. That is a genuine risk at scale and no amount of copywriting changes it.

Look at us

When we are

  • You chose SwipedOn because it was the smaller company. It is now one product line of a PSG Equity portfolio company that has bought seven businesses since 2021. We are one company with one product, one shareholder and no investors, and that is the whole of our roadmap.
  • You want one number, not a tier ladder. Everything is £150 a month plus VAT: the iPad, the stand, hosting, support, replacements, updates, and every user and visitor you have. Nothing is gated behind an upgrade and there is nothing to true up at renewal.
  • You want somebody to turn up. Install, configuration and reception training happen on your site, in person, inside the setup fee, and the person who does it wrote the software.
  • You are a manufacturing site with an auditor, not an office with a lobby. Contractors, goods in, a declaration accepted on screen and a fire roll call of everybody signed in are the parts we built first, because they are the parts our customers get asked about.

Before you ask

The questions people coming from SwipedOn ask

What happened to SwipedOn?

Its parent, SmartSpace Software plc, was taken private by Sign In Solutions, a PSG Equity portfolio company, in a recommended cash offer completed in May 2024; it was the seventh acquisition Sign In Solutions had made since August 2021. On 26 September 2026 swipedon.com redirected to a page on signinapp.com that says SwipedOn is now part of Sign In App and that the combined platform is not live yet.

Is SwipedOn still sold?

We can only tell you what their pages say. On 26 September 2026 swipedon.com no longer served a site of its own: it redirected to signinapp.com, and swipedon.com/pricing redirected to Sign In App’s pricing page. Whether a SwipedOn contract can still be bought or renewed on its own terms is a question for Sign In App, and worth asking before your renewal.

What will a SwipedOn customer pay now?

We do not know what is in your contract, and nothing on this page claims to. What is published is Sign In App’s pricing page, which is where swipedon.com/pricing now sends you: Core £415, Enhanced £835 and Pro £1,255 per site per year, Executive on request, with hardware sold separately. That was the page as read in September 2026.

Is Noon Elite an alternative to SwipedOn?

For a UK manufacturing site of roughly 20 to 200 staff, with one reception or a handful of sites, yes: that is who it is built for, and the published price includes the iPad, the installation and the fire roll call. If you chose SwipedOn for the lowest software price, or you need desk booking or a rollout across countries, then no, and Sign In App is the more honest fit.

Who else should be on our shortlist?

Depending on your site: Envoy and Eptura Visitor at the enterprise end, Sign In App in the mid market, Inventry if you are a school or a smaller UK site, and a handful of access control vendors who bundle visitor management with door hardware. If door access is the real project, start with the access control vendor rather than with any of us.

Why should we trust an alternatives page written by a vendor?

You should not, entirely. What you can do is check it: every claim about SwipedOn or Sign In App on this page comes from their own pages or the press release announcing the acquisition, linked at the bottom with the date they were read, and the two redirects can be checked by typing the addresses. We have made no claim about how good either product is, because we have not run them on your site.
