InVentry alternative
An InVentry alternative for a UK manufacturing site
This is written by one of the vendors, so start with the part that costs us something: InVentry’s entry package is cheaper than we are, at £95 a month against our £150, and InVentry publishes staff sign in, pre-registration, door access integrations and ISO 27001, none of which we have. Two of those, staff on the roll call and pre-registration, are in pilot with us and not built. For a school or a trust InVentry is the right choice. What we offer a manufacturing site is narrower: an iPad kiosk supplied and looked after, every price in public including setup, and the engineer who wrote it on the phone, who is also the person who builds what your site asks for next.
Facts about InVentry read on 3 October 2026, from InVentry’s own pages, linked below. We have no connection with InVentry and they have had no part in this page.
What InVentry publishes
Nine things, from InVentry’s own pages
None of this says anything about how good InVentry’s product is. It is what their own pages say about price, hardware, schools, contractors and who they are, which is what a shortlist needs, and it is dated because published pages move.
Write your requirements first: a checklist you can send to both of us
- PriceThree corporate packages: Essential £95, Enhanced £125 and Enterprise £150 a month. Their manufacturing page says “Prices start from as little as £95 per month.”
- Customers“Trusted by more than 10,000 schools and businesses”, on the home page.
- HardwareA “20-inch InVentry touch screen” with an integrated webcam and a label printer for badges.
- SchoolsA DBS tracking system with a single central record, and a pupil module that records late marks and writes them back to the school’s MIS.
- ContractorsContractors registered before arrival, insurance certificates and RAMS logged, expiry dates tracked, and accounts disabled if checks lapse.
- Fire“The InVentry RollCall Cloud based app allows you to access a real-time copy of everyone who is onsite from any mobile device at multiple points.”
- DoorsIntegrations with Paxton, Salto, Almas Industries and Suprema access control.
- Certification“ISO9001 & ISO27001 Accredited Company”, in the banner at the top of their pages.
- CompanyInVentry Ltd, Visitor House, Gelderd Road, Gildersome, Leeds, LS27 7JN.

Only the things that are published facts
The first six rows are InVentry’s: a lower entry price, and five things they publish that we do not have. Where one of those is in pilot with us, the cell says so after the no. There is no feature checklist here and no row where we score ourselves against their software. Where InVentry’s pages do not give an answer, the cell says so and does not guess.
| Noon Elite | InVentry | |
|---|---|---|
| Published price | £150 a month plus VAT per site, on the pricing page. Modules £150 each. Setup from £599. | Published for corporate sites: Essential £95 a month, Enhanced £125 a month, Enterprise £150 a month. Contractor management starts at Enhanced. The page does not say whether a price is per site or per screen and names no setup charge. Their subscription terms say charges exclude VAT. |
| Before arrival | None for visitors. A visitor is recorded when they sign in at the kiosk. The Permit to Work module is the exception, and emails a contractor’s office a link before the day. Visitor pre-registration is in pilot with the first sites, and is not built. | Published. Their manufacturing page lists pre-registration for contractors and visitors and QR code invitations for pre-booked visitors, and the Essential package includes visitor pre-booking. |
| Staff sign in | None. The kiosk signs in visitors and contractors, and the fire roll call lists them and not your employees. Staff on the fire roll call is in pilot with the first sites, and is not built. | Published. Staff sign in with a personalised ID badge, and their evacuation list is described as showing “all staff, first aiders/fire marshals and visitors on site”. |
| Doors and integrations | One: a message to a Microsoft Teams or Slack channel per site. No link to access control, your staff directory or an HR system. | Door access integrations with Paxton, Salto, Almas Industries and Suprema, and a count of 45 integrations on their home page. Access control integration starts at the Enhanced package. |
| Certification | Noon Elite Ltd does not hold ISO 27001, SOC 2 or Cyber Essentials Plus certification of its own. The infrastructure your data sits on is ISO 27001 certified. | “ISO9001 & ISO27001 Accredited Company”, in the banner at the top of their pages. |
| Support | The engineer who wrote it. There is one of us, and that is the trade. | “24/7 support via phone, email and live chat”, on their pricing page. Their support level agreement gives on site support for hardware only, from the next working day once a fault is diagnosed. |
| Hardware | An iPad on a steel floor stand with a locking enclosure, included in the monthly price, owned by us and replaced by us if it fails. | Their own: a “20-inch InVentry touch screen” with an integrated webcam and label printer. Their subscription terms say title to the hardware remains with InVentry, and the pricing page says all packages include screen insurance. |
| Contractor permits | A Permit to Work module on the same kiosk and in the same record, £150 a month plus VAT. It is in early access and has not yet run at a customer. | Their contractor management page says the system stores contractor information “like DBS checks, inductions, and permits to work” and tracks expiry dates. On their home, manufacturing and contractor management pages we found no description of a permit being raised, authorised and signed off in the system. |
| Term and notice | A fourteen day evaluation period from signing. Twelve months from the day the service starts, then monthly on thirty days’ notice. | A 30 day money back guarantee, with conditions. Their subscription terms set the initial term in the order, then renew for successive 12 month periods unless the customer gives not less than 90 days’ written notice before a period ends. |
| Who installs it | We do. Around the East Midlands in person; further afield in person by arrangement. The person who installs it wrote the software. | An InVentry engineer attends your site, sets the system up and trains you there, according to the questions on their pricing page. |
| Breadth | Visitor and contractor sign in, and modules for it. Nothing else, ever. | Sign in for visitors, staff, contractors and pupils, with DBS tracking, asset audits, space bookings and classroom registration beside it. In their own words it was “originally designed for schools”, and is now used across businesses, healthcare, government and manufacturing. |
£150 a month is £1,800 a year plus VAT for one site, with setup from £599 in year one. InVentry’s Essential package at £95 a month is £1,140 a year before whatever their order adds. Ask both of us for the year one total in writing.

A sign in and a fire roll call, in 100 seconds
A visitor signs in on the iPad. The alarm goes. The marshal opens the live list on their phone at the muster point and reads off who is still on site.

When InVentry is the right answer
- You are a school or a multi-academy trust. InVentry was designed for schools first, in its own words, and publishes DBS tracking with a single central record and a pupil module that writes back to the school’s MIS. We have none of that.
- You want staff on the same system as visitors. InVentry publishes staff sign in by ID badge and an evacuation list with staff on it. Our roll call lists visitors and contractors, and your marshal still needs your staff list. Staff on the same roll call is in pilot with us, and not built.
- You need a door to open. InVentry publishes integrations with Paxton, Salto, Almas Industries and Suprema. Our kiosk records people. It does not open doors or replace an access control system.
- You want visitors booked in before the day. InVentry publishes pre-registration and QR code invitations. We have no pre-registration for visitors. It is in pilot with us, and not built: if you need it on the day you start, choose them.
- Your procurement policy asks for ISO 27001, or a support desk at any hour. InVentry states both. Noon Elite Ltd holds no certification of its own and is one person, and if either is a requirement, the honest answer is no.
- You want the lowest monthly figure. Essential is £95 a month against our £150. Ask what their order adds for setup and what the initial term is, then compare the totals.
Look at us
When we are
- You want every figure before the call. £150 a month plus VAT per site, modules £150 each, setup from £599, and a worked year one total, all on the pricing page.
- You want an iPad on a stand, supplied and looked after. The iPad, the floor stand and its locking enclosure are ours, included, and replaced at no cost if they fail. You provide a WiFi connection and a mains socket.
- You want a contractor’s permit raised, authorised and signed off on the same kiosk. That is our Permit to Work module. It is in early access and has not yet run at a customer, so treat the first months as a pilot and keep your paper permit until it has proved itself on your jobs.
- You want to speak to the person who wrote it. There is one of us. The person who answers the phone, installs the kiosk and changes your wording is the engineer who wrote the software.
- You want a say in what gets built next. Printed badges with a staff approval step began as one site’s request and are now a module on the price list. Eight more things are in pilot with the first sites, none of them built, and the list is public.
- You want to be able to leave on a month’s notice. Twelve months from the day the service starts, then monthly on thirty days’ notice, with a fourteen day evaluation period from signing.
- You are a manufacturing site with an auditor. Contractors, goods in, a declaration accepted on screen and a fire roll call of everybody signed in are the parts we built first, because they are the parts our customers get asked about.
Sign in on a demonstration kiosk, then open the fire roll call on your phone. Do not enter real details: everything typed is deleted within the hour. Badge printing and Permit to Work are not in the demonstration.

Before you ask
The questions people looking at InVentry ask us
How much does InVentry cost?
On 3 October 2026 InVentry’s corporate subscription pricing page listed three packages: Essential at £95 a month, Enhanced at £125 a month and Enterprise at £150 a month, and its manufacturing page said prices start from £95 per month. The pricing page did not say whether a price is per site or per screen and named no setup charge, and InVentry’s subscription terms say charges exclude VAT. Ours is £150 a month plus VAT per site, setup from £599, iPad and stand included. On the monthly figure their entry package is cheaper than we are.
Does InVentry do permit to work?
On 3 October 2026 its contractor management page said the system stores and manages contractor information “like DBS checks, inductions, and permits to work”, and tracks expiry dates. On its home, manufacturing and contractor management pages we found no description of a permit being raised, authorised and signed off in the system, so ask them how a permit is issued. Our Permit to Work module is £150 a month plus VAT. It is in early access and has not yet run at a customer.
Is InVentry only for schools?
No. Its pricing page says InVentry “was originally designed for schools” and is now used across businesses, healthcare, government and manufacturing, and it has a page for manufacturing sites. For a school or a multi-academy trust it is the better choice: it publishes DBS tracking, a pupil module and integrations with school systems, and we have none of them.
Is Noon Elite an alternative to InVentry?
For a UK manufacturing site that wants an iPad kiosk supplied and looked after, every price published including setup, and the person who wrote the software on the phone, yes. If you need staff sign in, visitors booked in before the day, a door access integration, a supplier holding ISO 27001, or the lowest monthly price, then no: InVentry publishes all of those and we do not have them. Visitor pre-registration and staff on the fire roll call are in pilot with us and not built, so if you need either on the day you start, the answer is still no.
Can Noon Elite add something InVentry has and you do not?
Sometimes, and you will get a straight answer on the call. There is one of us, and the person you speak to writes the software. Where other sites would use it too, we scope it with you, agree a fixed price before any work starts, and build it into the kiosk. Visitor pre-registration and staff on the fire roll call are in pilot on that basis and are not built. A link to a door access system has been asked about and is not built. We will not become a school system or a support desk at any hour.
Why should we trust an alternatives page written by a vendor?
You should not, entirely. What you can do is check it: every claim about InVentry on this page comes from InVentry’s own pages, linked at the bottom with the date they were read, and the first six rows of the table are things they publish that we do not have. We have made no claim about how good their product is, because we have not run it on your site.
