Automotive suppliers
Visitor management for automotive suppliers
Every visitor registered on an iPad at reception, your NDA and site rules accepted before they go through, and a record you can hand to the OEM’s auditor or a TISAX assessor without a day in the filing cabinet.
Sign in on a demonstration kiosk, then open the fire roll call on your phone. Do not enter real details: everything typed is deleted within the hour.
From £599 setup and £150 a month plus VAT, iPad and stand included.
Who this is for
A UK plant supplying the vehicle makers
Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers with UK plants, audited by the OEMs they supply and sometimes asked for a TISAX label. Some have a prototype area that visitors may not photograph or talk about. Contractors keep the lines running, and every visitor has a host who needs to know they have arrived.
What gets asked at reception
Who asks an automotive supplier to show who was on site
The TISAX assessment
VDA ISA control 3.1.1 on security zones includes the registration and escorting of visitors, and prototype protection has controls of its own. The assessor asks to see how visitors are registered.
The OEM’s engineers
Visitors to a prototype or a new programme are often asked to accept a non-disclosure agreement before they go in, and the OEM may ask you to show who did.
Your ISO 45001 auditor
Clause 8.1.4.2 is about co-ordinating with contractors and making sure they know your site rules and emergency arrangements. The contractors who keep the lines running are the ones it is about.
Whoever manages the contractors
Maintenance, tooling and automation contractors are on site most days. Who they are, when they arrived and what they accepted is the first thing asked after anything goes wrong.
What the kiosk does
Registration, the NDA and the roll call, on one iPad
Registered at the door
Name, company, who they are here to see, and a registration if they have driven in. Visitors and contractors sign out on the same screen when they leave.
Your NDA and site rules, accepted
Your non-disclosure wording and your site rules go on screen as one text, and nobody is signed in until they accept it. The record keeps the exact wording each person accepted and when.
A record the assessor can read
Search by name, company or date and export it. Each sign in also posts to your Microsoft Teams or Slack channel with the visitor’s name, company and host.
A roll call on a phone
When the alarm goes, your fire marshal opens the live list on their phone at the muster point and sees every visitor and contractor currently signed in.

A sign in and a fire roll call, in 100 seconds
A visitor signs in on the iPad. The alarm goes. The marshal opens the live list on their phone at the muster point and reads off who is still on site.
The player loads from YouTube only when you press play. Nothing is sent to Google before that. What happens when you do.
What it costs
One price, in public
Setup from £599, then £150 a month plus VAT. The iPad, the stand, hosting and support are included, and nothing is charged per visitor or per user. Printed badges with staff approval are the Secure Badge and Approval module, £150 a month on top.

Being straight with you
What this does not do
- Nothing gets a site a TISAX label except an assessment. The kiosk records who was registered and when; escorting them is your process.
- It records people. It does not open doors or keep anybody out of a prototype area.
- It takes no signature. A visitor accepts your wording with one button, and the record says which wording and when.
Before you ask
The questions automotive suppliers ask on the first call
Can visitors accept our NDA at sign in?
Yes, as part of the text they accept. The kiosk shows one text before sign in, so your non-disclosure wording sits beside your site rules, and the record keeps the exact wording each person accepted and when. It does not take a signature. If a visitor will not accept it, they go back and speak to their host.
Does this get us through TISAX?
No system does. The kiosk gives you a registration record for every visitor: who, from which company, who they came to see and when they arrived and left. Whether your security zones and escorting meet the control is the assessor’s judgement.
Can we tell escorted visitors from cleared contractors on the floor?
With the Secure Badge and Approval module, yes. A member of your staff approves each visitor by PIN at the kiosk, and the badge that prints carries the visitor’s clearance level. Colour coded lanyards separate escorted visitors from cleared contractors without anyone having to ask. It is £150 a month on top of the platform.
Where is the data held?
In the European Union, in Ireland, on ISO 27001 certified infrastructure. The security page lists every sub-processor, which is usually what an OEM’s questionnaire asks for next.

Each of these is a page about one standard, one duty or one visitor, written the same way as this one: what it actually asks for, what an iPad at reception records towards it, and where it does not help.
