Sign In App alternative

A Sign In App alternative, with the iPad, the install and the roll call in the price

This is written by one of the vendors, so start with the part that costs us something: Sign In App’s entry tier is cheaper than we are, at £415 a site a year against our £1,800, and for a site that will buy the iPad, mount it and run it, they are the right buy. What follows is what each price contains, row by row, with every claim about them linked to their own published page.

Try it yourself, no sign-up

Sign in on a demonstration kiosk, then open the fire roll call on your phone. Do not enter real details: everything typed is deleted within the hour.

Facts about Sign In App checked September 2026, against their own pricing page, linked below. We have no connection with Sign In App and they have had no part in this page.

Only the things that are published facts

There is no feature checklist here, and no row where we score ourselves against their software. Those tables are written to be won. These are published prices and structural differences, which is the part you can verify.

£150 a month is £1,800 a year plus VAT for one site, with setup from £599 in year one. Their Core tier is £415 a year for the licence alone. The gap is the iPad, the stand, the installation, the training and the replacements, and whether that gap is worth paying depends on whether somebody at your site wants to own the rollout.

What the price buys

Three things the table does not dwell on

The table is about what is published. This is about what the kiosk does on a manufacturing site, because that is where the difference between a licence and a service shows up.

Fire roll call, on a phone

Everyone signed in on the kiosk is on a live list the marshal opens on their phone at the assembly point. Nobody goes back inside for the book. It is part of the platform, not an add-on.

Permits to work, on the same kiosk

A contractor’s permit raised before the day, the RAMS read on their own phone to the end before they can sign, and their name on the roll call from the moment they arrive at the kiosk. A module at £150 a month plus VAT, in early access.

A badge only after your staff approve it

The visitor signs in and waits. The host is told and enters a PIN on the kiosk to authorise the visit. No approval, no badge. Colour coded, so anyone on the floor can see whether that person needs escorting. A module at £150 a month plus VAT, printer included in a quoted setup.

When the alarm goes

A fire roll call, start to finish, in 100 seconds

A visitor signs in on the iPad. The alarm goes. The marshal opens the live list on their phone at the muster point and reads off who is still on site. Nobody goes back inside for the book.

Included in the platform, not an add-on. The player loads from YouTube only when you press play. What happens when you do.

Buy from them

When Sign In App is the right answer

  • You want the lowest software price and you will handle the rest. Sign In App Core is £415 a site a year. That is less than a quarter of what we charge, and if you are happy to buy an iPad, mount it, configure it and support it internally, they are the better buy and we will tell you so on the call.
  • You need something this afternoon. A self serve platform lets you sign up today. We need a conversation and an install date.
  • You are buying desks, rooms and visitors together. Sign In App prices desk and meeting room booking, scheduling and time and attendance as add-ons. We do not do desks and we are not going to.
  • You have twenty sites. At that size you want a vendor with a support rota, a status page and an account team. We are one person. That is a genuine risk at scale and no amount of copywriting changes it.

Buy from us

When we are

  • You want one number, not a tier ladder. Everything is £150 a month plus VAT: the iPad, the stand, hosting, support, replacements, updates, and every user and visitor you have. Nothing is gated behind an upgrade and there is nothing to true up at renewal.
  • You want somebody to turn up. Install, configuration and reception training happen on your site, in person, inside the setup fee. If a unit dies on a site an hour away, that can be somebody driving over.
  • You are a manufacturing site with an auditor, not an office with a lobby. Contractors, goods in, a declaration accepted on screen and a fire roll call of everybody signed in are the parts we built first, because they are the parts our customers get asked about.
  • You want the thing changed, not roadmapped. Different sign in wording, a different badge colour, a different alert. With one engineer that is a conversation. With a platform it is a feature request behind a hundred others.

Before you ask

The questions people comparing us with Sign In App ask

Is Noon Elite cheaper than Sign In App?

No, not on the software licence. Sign In App publishes Core at £415 per site per year against our £1,800, so on price alone their entry tier wins comfortably. The comparison changes when you add what each price contains: ours includes the iPad and stand, replacement hardware, on site installation, configuration and reception training, and every feature we have. Theirs is a licence, with hardware sold separately and features tiered across Core, Enhanced and Pro.

What does Sign In App’s price include?

The software licence for one site, with features by tier. Hardware is optional and sold separately: their pricing page lists a full package of an iPad, a desk or wall enclosure, a Brother label printer, paper rolls and badge holders, with a delivery charge per location. Onboarding sessions come with Enhanced and Pro, and Pro adds bespoke onboarding, telephone support and a dedicated account manager. That was the page as read in September 2026.

Do we have to buy an iPad?

With Sign In App, yes, or bring one you have. With us, no: the iPad and the stand are ours, included in the £150 a month, and replaced by us if they fail. If you would rather own the hardware and support it yourself, that is a point in their favour, not ours.

Are Sign In App and SwipedOn the same company?

They are now. Sign In Solutions, a PSG Equity portfolio company, completed a take-private acquisition of SmartSpace Software plc in May 2024, and SwipedOn was SmartSpace’s visitor management product. swipedon.com now redirects to signinapp.com. If both are on your shortlist as independent options, they are not.

How current are these prices?

They were checked in September 2026 and the date is printed on the page so you can see how stale it is. Published prices move. Before you make a decision on a number you read here, check it against Sign In App’s own pricing page, linked at the bottom, and if you find something out of date tell us and we will fix it.

Why should we trust an alternatives page written by a vendor?

You should not, entirely. What you can do is check it: every claim about Sign In App on this page comes from their own pricing page or the press release announcing their parent’s acquisition, both linked at the bottom with the date they were read. We have made no claim about how good their product is, because we have not run it on your site.
