Self serve visitor sign in app

A visitor sign in app for the iPad you already own, set up by you

You want visitors and contractors signed in and out on a screen, the rules they accepted kept with the visit, and a list on your phone of who is on site when the alarm goes. You do not want a kiosk installed or a sales call to get it. We have not built that yet. This page is here to find out whether enough sites want it before we do.

Try it yourself, no sign-up

Sign in on a demonstration kiosk, then open the fire roll call on your phone. Do not enter real details: everything typed is deleted within the hour.

Not on sale yet, and there is no price yet. Sites that email us hear first if we build it. Last reviewed 4 October 2026.

What the software does today

The sign in our kiosk already runs

  • Visitors and contractors sign in and out on an iPad: their name, their company, the person they have come to see and, if they give one, a vehicle registration.
  • They accept your site’s wording on screen before the sign in completes: site rules, safety rules or a privacy notice. The exact text accepted is stored with the visit.
  • A live roll call of every visitor and contractor signed in opens as a link in a phone’s browser, for whoever runs the fire roll call. It does not list your own staff.
  • Each sign in can post a message to your Microsoft Teams or Slack channel with the visitor’s name, their company and who they are here to see.
  • The history can be searched by name, company and date and exported as a spreadsheet, and records are deleted automatically at the end of the retention period you set.

That is the software as it runs today on our managed kiosk, in daily use at a manufacturer in the UK. The plan is the same sign in on an iPad you own.

On your own iPad

Not built yet, and here is why we are asking

We are one engineer, and we build what sites ask for. A self serve version is a second product to run, so we would rather hear from the sites that want it before writing a line of it.

Being straight with you

How it would differ from our kiosk

  • Your iPad. You supply the iPad and the stand, and you look after them. With the kiosk we supply both, install them and replace them if they fail.
  • Set up by you. The plan is a checklist: you load your site rules, your hosts and your retention period yourself. With the kiosk we load them for you and show reception how it works.
  • One site, one iPad. More than one door or more than one site is what the kiosk is for.
  • Email support. With the kiosk you ring the engineer who writes it.
  • Monthly. The plan is a monthly subscription with no 12 month term.
  • No modules. Badge printing and Permit to Work stay with the kiosk. They will not be part of this.

If you need it now

Two things you can have today

If you want it installed and looked after, on more than one door, with badges or permits, or with someone to ring, that is the managed kiosk, and it is available now.

If you want something free today, a form on the iPad you already have will do much of the job, and our guide shows how in about an hour.

What we want to hear

Five questions about your site

  • What signs your visitors in today: a paper book, a form, or software you want to leave?
  • Do you have an iPad at reception already? If it is another tablet, which one?
  • About how many visitors and contractors come through your door in a week?
  • Would you rather set it up yourself, or have it done for you?
  • What would you expect to pay for it each month?

Answer any of them in an email. A line is enough.

What it would not do

The limits, before you ask

  • It would produce a record of who was on site and what they accepted. It would not make a site compliant with anything, and we are not assessors.
  • Visitors accept your wording, and the acceptance is recorded with the exact text. There are no questions, answers or signatures in the sign in.
  • The roll call lists visitors and contractors, not your staff, so your marshal still needs your staff list.

Next step

Tell us you want it

One email: what signs your visitors in today and what iPad you have. It goes to the engineer who writes the software. It is how we decide whether to build it, and you hear first if we do.
